- You're in Control – Disconnect any account at any time from Settings
Supported Banks
Plaid supports thousands of financial institutions including:
- Major banks (Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi)
- Credit unions
- Investment accounts
- Credit card accounts
If your bank isn't supported, you can upload transactions via CSV.
Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
If your connection fails, try:
- Verifying your bank credentials are correct
- Checking if your bank requires additional verification
- Trying again later if your bank is experiencing issues
Missing Transactions
Transaction history availability varies by bank. Most provide 1-2 years of history. If you need older transactions, consider uploading a CSV export from your bank.
Reconnecting an Account
If your connection becomes stale, you'll be prompted to re-authenticate. This is normal bank security behavior and doesn't affect your existing data.
